We rear all our male calves to 12-18 months of age. Many of them are angus cross and dual-purpose breeds, although we don't discriminate so we will also raise our Jersey x Friesian steers. Although not traditionally breed for beef this is only due to the lower yields; The meat from a dairy breed is leaner but still very high quality. Some steers are raised on older cows and others
